One thing you don't want to do is try to grapple with someone and bring them down in a bar or in a streetfight. My sensei was quite clear on this and I have to agree.

don't broadcast, hit them , get in and get out.

That's pretty standard, and common sense.

Grappling does jack shit in a fight against multiple people, if you go down, it's over. You need to know how to strike, and strike hard.

I've seen it happen, though, on more than one occassion.

Then, you see the big guys with their haymakers. And big comparitivelyto us...so REALLY BIG GUYS. They just look to land that one blow.

I actually saw someone get ddt's once on a hard floor. Other guy did not get right back up.

As for myself, I usually wear boots to outings and I find they are very effective when used with the little bit I know.

And knowing is half the battle!

Everything is out the window as far as multiple people go. You're fucked. I agree with you both though. In that sort of desperate situation though, you need to be striking hard, fast and visciously until you can safely get out of the danger zone.

As amazing as anyone's grappling skills could be, you don't want to be on the ground, pinning yourself down as an easy target for back-up buddy head kicking.

In traditional karate, they tell you to grab one person and use them as a shield. It's hard, though.

It is an exhausting exercise. Let alone trying to do it in sparring.

So basically, it's all about who can offload multiple clips of ammo, aimed well before the others have a chance to even cock their guns? This would make sense as it maximises your chance of actually succeeding against the odds.

Actually no my friend. I was at Debenhams yesterday and the dressing gowns were on sale for Â£42, a reduction from the Â£60 tag. I was wondering if you wanted me to bag one, but I refrained from texting you, since I thought by the time you would have read it, I'd be long gone from the store. I'll look next week if you want, but I can't gurantee the price.
