Tony Daniel Revealed the New Batman? SPOILERS

Post by Tragic Angelus »

From CBR.com

"Did Tony Daniel accidentally spoil the big mystery of the DC Comics miniseries Batman: Battle for the Cowl?

Be warned: This post obviously contains potential spoilers.

On his blog this morning, the writer/artist posted his proposed redesigns for the Batman and Robin costumes, which include notes about color schemes and special features.

Er, if it's true it's not much of a spoiler, is it?

No, unless it is like the column author said and it's there to throw people off the trail of someone else.

If anyone, he's the one I'd hope it is though.

Its basically a given that Nightwing is gonna be Batman. Everyone is more wondering who is gonna be Robin...

Right now, the main money is on Damian as Robin and Tim as Red Robin.

This all sounds like a load of non essential, weighty shit on the Batman stories. Is it?

Just wanted to say that Battle for the Cowl #1 was boring and average.

Glad all this confirms my suspicions. I'll get that (like everything else in trades).

I will not be purchasing any of these at first. Going to wait and see what the reviews are, then maybe come back and buy the collections of issues I always see for like, half of the cover price.

My version of trades!

I look into doing that as well with some things, because for certain stories it is fun to have the actual issues as well. If I find one of those for BftC I'll probably nab it that way.

There are about 3 comic stores that do that in Montreal. It's stupid to try and buy comics that way, but I'll normally buy something if I have a slight interest in and I see it.
Generally it's cheaper than the trades, too.

Yea, and it's good for those of us that want the storline completed but like you said prefer single issues too. the one I worked at would do it from time to time, saving at least one issue of some event to eventually collect together but not too often.
