I loved the first year on injustice, so I wanted to try what else he wrote, therefore New Wolverine and I liked it.

The wolverine stories and superman, the guys at my comic shops kept telling me to try them and I eventually did, I was impressed. I was happy to read at least a couple super hero books.

TITANS #8
IVX #4 (OF 6)
POWER MAN AND IRON FIST #13

Dropped BLACK WIDOW since I hadn't been enjoying it and it looks like it will end soon. I miss the Edmonson/Noto run.

Ms. Marvel, Champions and Hawkeye.

I'll give those books a try (although I've never really been interested in Superman).

Good, not great, but it's Bendis and it's only 3 issues in, so it's hard to tell. It's an interesting set-up, but we'll have to wait and see what the pay off is.

I tired of Bendis deconstructed story telling a long time ago, though.

I finally read Alias collected, and really enjoyed that but yeah, decompressed barely began to describe it. I'd rather wait until the series is done and then get it that way.

In my recollection Alias wasn't that bad? Could be wrong, it's been a while since I've read it.

Is it me, or is the decompressed phase of all writers a bit over? I mean, there's still quite a few slow-ass comics out there, but a lot of them contain quite a bit of contecnt in 22/24 pages.

I think so. I can't remember having that complaint for a long time. The stuff I am reading now is mostly in arcs, but I generally pretty happy with the pace.
Maybe some of Brubakers/Phillips stuff?

Oh yeah, Alias was great, but there were some long drawn out stories from time to time. But yeah I'm done with decompression. 8 issue arcs that could've been 3 really annoy me. It's why I drop half of the titles I do.

I dunnot if it's decompressed. It is getting repetitive, though. I'm seriously considering dropping their latest book. Not because it's bad (it isn't), but it's just not as great as they used to be.

No, it isn't. They need a break from each other. None of the books have been great for awhile I think. Maybe because they never re-captured the magic of criminal or sleeper, or there just seem to be a lot of indie books copying their style. Whatever it is, they're not must reads anymore.

Those two books are the best they did. And there was one about a supervillain in witness protection, I think?

I got caught up on all new wolverine last night, and am really enjoying it, when I thought I would hate it.

Champions is on the pile for tomorrow.
