BTVS SPIKE INTO LIGHT HC
MANIFEST DESTINY #8
100TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL #1 X-MEN
MAGNETO #7
UNCANNY X-MEN #23
X-MEN #16

Manifest Destiny could be on it's way out. Its novelty is wearing off as when it came out I was teaching Westward Expansion last year and had some interest in reading it. Now that I'm not and I'm reminded it's my least favorite historical time period, it may not last long.

Manifest Destiny is a type of book that I like to see exist for the sake of variety. It's also perfectly good, but yeah, It's something I look forward to reading it each time because I enjoy a bit of history, or in this case altered history, but ultimately I don't think it's interesting enough to continue with for much longer..

I'm just rarely interested in American history, since for us it's mandatory to learn every so many years. I feel like there are parts that are interesting, but as a whole not much, and that's a time period I'm very much uninterested in. I agree on the sake of variety and interest, and the art and story have been entertaining so far, but I wonder how much longer it'll hold out.

The 'altered' history book I really enjoyed recently was Royals: Masters of War from Vertigo. I'd love to see that continue as some kind of anthology series processing through various wars of history.

Also grabbed Spike: Into The Light, which I thought was a trade but it's a graphic novel co-written by James Marsters.

Yeah, it takes place during Season 10. They opted for that rather than another mini this time around.

Haha it's all good. I read those Buffy columns on CBR pretty regularly. But I was actually wrong- apparently Scott Allie commented yesterday that it takes place during Season 7 rather than Season 10. I still need to pick my books up so I'm not sure of that yet though. Have you gotten to start it yet?

Nah, it's going to take me awhile. It takes a bit for me to get to my physical books as it's hard to get comfortable with no real desk to read on at home (reason I'm reading more digitally now). I may take it into work and read it Saturday.
