Costume Designs - A New Positive Overdue Trend

Post by Stocky Boy »

Ahoy! Something I've been waiting for. The non sexist female costume design.

I've only read the following article, but mean to get to the other two.
http://robot6.comicbookresources.com/20 ... ng-sexist/

http://goodcomics.comicbookresources.co ... redesigns/
http://kristaferanka.tumblr.com/post/49 ... 62/modesty
The above two articles are linked in the first one, by the way.

I'm loving the Kris Anka Psylocke redesign. It is undeniably sexy, yet believably functional for the world of superheros. It has the appearance of a costume design not made with wanking in mind, or a mental disengagement with the real world.

Check out the Wolverine costume art on the back of the new Deadpool game. It's probably the best, 'movie probable' and 'texture real' version of the modern Wolverine gold(/yellow) and blue outfit.

Also, not sure if I shared this one, but the Wolvie art on this page is good too.

Since House of M, Wolverine's yellow & blue costume has been getting progressively worse.

I'd like a return to the brown costume.

So that's a no from you is it?

Old brown or a modernised version of it? Surely the y-fronts need to go?

I've come to like the brown costume, but I still prefer the yellow/blue, and I've actually liked it more since HoM. There are probably a dozen variant versions of it depending on the book he's in, but I still prefer it.

I liked the Whedon run Blue/Yellow.

I like the Blue/Yellow themed costumes for all the x-men. I find the costume itself for wolverine entirely depends on who is drawing it.
