The concept for this one is interesting but I don't really like Nick Spencer so I might just give issue 1 a shot.

What's the concept there?

Basically it puts the Espionage into SHIELD. So we have Nick Fury Jr, Agent Coulson, Director Daisy, and then Black Widow and Hawkeye. The latter 2 are basically corralled into being part of the espionage yet we don't know why (panel was REDACTED in hilarious military fashion). The issue was cool but unless they add more members it doesn't feel like it should be an Avengers title.

Who is Director Daisy?

But yes, that does sound interesting. And I don't dislike Spencer, so hopefully my shop'll have a copy extra.

Daisy Johnson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daisy_Johnson) from Secret Warriors. According to the first page of Secret Avengers #1, she's the Director of SHIELD but Maria Hill is the Commander and Acting Director, whatever the hell that means.

Last I heard, the roster isn't really set outside of Coulson, Fury Jr., and Hill. It was going to be a "you've been recruited or this mission" kind of thing, even if characters weren't aware they'd been recruited by SHIELD for something. Hulk is also supposed to be a member at some point isn't he?

Well, it wasn't all that good. Also, when did Daisy become director of SHIELD?

During or right after Battle Scars, I think.

Oh, should have thought of that. Thanks! Anybody else read it, Secret AVengers 1 I mean?

Is this the same mini series that presumably brought Sam Jackson Fury to the regular Marvel universe?

Yes, and it was terrible!

Spoilers!

Did you know a white guy can have a black son? And eye patches are genetic?
