Hmm. My grandmother died this night. I don't know much details, really. She was 82, as far as I knew still pretty healthy. Had a bad leg (as in, had skin cancer there a few years back) and I wouldn't put it past her to have hid any discomfort she had from that (it took my mom well over a year to find out that she had a 'bad spot' on her leg). Apparently she fell and was found by a neighbour. In the hospital they said the leg had to come off for sure if she'd wanted to survive. That, she didn't want. Still, it went quite fast (first thing I learned about her being in the hospital was about 2 hours before she died).

I'll miss her for sure, but at least she came to a nice age.

I'm sorry to hear that, as well.

My condolences to you and your family.

Was it your mom or dads side?

Moms side, I never knew my dads parents.

Anyway, thanks. I have no real troubles with it, I'm probably the least emotional family member in this all. She had a good life, but she chose not to try and lengthen it. I'll miss her, sure, and it'll be a bit strange. But she's in peace.

Sorry to hear about your loss Mitch.

But glad to hear you're on the move and will be in a new house soon. Rotterdam right?

How hard is to to get to Rotterdam from Amsterdam?

There is a small chance I'll be in Amsterdam for a week in March. We could possibly try to meet up for a mini-bx gathering?

Going from Rotterdam to Amsterdam is probably like taking the bus for just one stop in Canada. :D

That would be awesome. And yes, it's about an hour by public transport. Or by car. Quite easy, so that shouldn't stop you.

Well. I get the travel package info the next couple weeks. I'll see how much it is and take it from there, if I can afford it. The trip is only 4 days, I was considering hanging around for a a few more days to make it worth the flight.

I'll let you know!

What's the occasion that might bring you to Amsterdam?

Yeah. My coach is organized a trip, and it seems like it would be fun.
I want to get a real fight, and doing the seminar would be far harder than any fight I would get here.

I seem to have the flu.

Also, that better not be the last week of March.
