Aw, no witty title?

ANGEL & FAITH #9
GREEN LANTERN NEW GUARDIANS #8
TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES ONGOING #9 [variants only]
UNCANNY X-MEN #11
X-MEN LEGACY #265

MAYBE
STAR WARS BLOOD TIES BOBA FETT IS DEAD #1 [the title makes me want to get it but the revelation that it takes place sometime during Episodes IV-VI makes me want to stay as far away as possible]
AVX VS #1 [depends on the quantity of text in it. So if I can Byrne-read it in the store in 2 minutes, I'm not buying it. I'll likely download it first before I go to the store to see whether I think it's worth my money or not]

If that Hardcover is the current series Arn, I'd say wait for a softcover. The current book and first storyarc was neat, but nothing great. I dropped it after 4 issues and it's definitely not worth that price, at least to me.

It's not the current issues, it's issues 37-47 from the original series, I think that's the first arc by Warren Ellis.

Ok, I just wanted to check. Couldn't remember if the New 52 collections started coming out this week or not. And if that is the case, I'm more interested. I've wanted to get more into Stormwatch and the Authority lately but wasn't sure where was the best place to start.

I absolutely loved when The Authority began but I've never read all of the leadup. I may have to read Stormwatch when I'm done with Excalibur (just 20 issues to go in that saga, I think).

I guess they'll have a second hardcover with the last 3 issues of Volume 1 (48-50), the 11 issues of Volume 2 (1-11), and the incredibly important issue WildC.A.T.s/Aliens (it takes place between 10 and 11 of Volume 2 and serves as an epilogue to Stormwatch and a lead-in to Authority). Except that's too many issues considering this hardcover is just 11 issues. It would make more sense if they had this hardcover be 37-50 and the second hardcover 1-11+WildC.A.T.s/Aliens. Hopefully they do include the one-shot in the title, a lot of people may get confused if they don't...

So I just noticed that XIII is the only one among us who doesn't pick up Uncanny X-Men and/or X-Men Legacy. I cna see dropping Legacy because its no longer one of the core books and I know he picks up Wolverine & The X-Men but for some reason I thought all of us here collected, at the very least Uncanny X-Men.

A book that has art by Greg Land? No thank you. And Pacheco used to be a fave of mine but his work has been a huge letdown for me lately.

I'm picking up Wolvie & X-Men cause it's has my fave writer and great artists.
And I'll be on board X-Men when Brian Wood comes in but I don't care about the rest.

Heresy!

I did notice that among all of us, you're the one who most follows creative teams more than characters or stories.

I do wonder what your comic collection looks like. Its got to be this amazing puzzle of incomplete runs and minis.

Your collection is fractured. Half trades, half singles, HC's.

But to be fair my collection days from the 90s are all a mish-mash of what was "hot" at the time. Foil covers, holo covers, various #1's.

2000 was when I started getting into books for the stories.

yeah, it can happen that when I like trades enough, I switch to ongoing to support the book.
