Runaways vol 1 1-18, vol 2 1-24.

$1 a book. This better be worth it.

Just to let you know, once you get to it, Joss Whedon's arc isn't the best work he's done before. Still good, just not great.

Because it was the cheapest, price-wise and shipping-wise.

We only had 2 issues of his run, so I didn't get it. I got everything but that. We had about 2 complete runs of the series. Someone beat me to the first one, which must have had the full Whedon run, and I got the 2nd full run, which was all BKV.

The Whedon run is crap anyway, don't bother with that.

When Mic? went to Image Expo, I asked me to get me a CBLDF grab bag. They include 10 random comics, some of them signed, some of them rare.
Here is what I got :

JSA Classified #5, signed by writer Jen Van Meter
Daredevil #232
West Coast Avengers #24
Amazing Spider-Man #205
The Incredible Hulk #320
West Coast Avengers #1 of 4
GI Joe: A real American Hero #30
Action Comics #689
Happy Birthday Martha Washington, signed by writer Frank Miller
The Unknown #1, signed by writer Mark Waid

Quite happy with that. Hopefully, I'll get the signed books personalized one day.

I also asked him to pick something up for me, and I got:

Dynamo 5 TPB Vols 3 & 4.

I had found 1 & 2 for half price but could not track down the last 2. It was a fun series, and I got into it just as the mini series came out (a sort of Vol 5 now).

That's a great mix, especially the Unknown & Martha Washington. Miller is a dickhead but he was a great writer once upon a time.

I have yet to get something signed by Waid.

Speaking of Waid, I hope his Irredeemable and Incorruptable come out in an omnibus form some time soon. I've heard marvelous things about those two books.

Back issue bins. I'm not looking for anything particular so it was a pleasant surprise when I found these books.

Uncanny X-Men 43 & 46

We got in a lot of great Silver Age Marvel books. However, they're all in Good or Below condition. Some of them are GREAT books in very BAD condition. So I picked the two best X-Men books in the bunch that I didn't have and got both of them for less than $20. They're good place holders until I can get much better copies, similar to my issue 15.
