BTVS SEASON 9 FREEFALL #7
BATWOMAN #7
GREEN LANTERN #7
FRANKENSTEIN AGENT OF SHADE #7
RAY #4 (OF 4)
X-MEN LEGACY #263
WOLVERINE AND X-MEN #7

Ah yes, my big week. Buffy, Frankenstein, W&X, Legacy, and sadly the end of Ray. I've really enjoyed that mini. I've enjoyed the Reeder art on Batwoman (even tho it won't last now), but the 5 person story is a little unnerving to me. Just as we get into one person it switches. I hope this one is a bit more interesting. GL continues to be the weak book in this group. Hopefully this Indigo story picks up.

BTVS SEASON 9 FREEFALL #7
GREEN LANTERN #7
UNWRITTEN #35
LOCKE & KEY CLOCKWORKS #5
SAGA #1
WOLVERINE AND X-MEN #7
X-MEN LEGACY #263

I'm Byrne-reading The Ray and it's actually pretty good. I'm actually not a fan of Reeder on Batwoman. Her art is good, don't get me wrong, but I just don't like how much of a change in story-telling it now is. So I dropped it this week. I'll get any variants that are put in my file for the book, of course, just not any regular covers.

Buffy Season 9 #7
Batgirl #7
Batwoman #7
Mr. Terrific #7
Saga #1
Thief of Thieves #2
Avengers #24
Punisher #9
Wolverine & The X-Men #7
X-Men: Legacy #263

Big week, lots of great books. Saga finally comes out and Thief of Thieves continues. I picked up Thief of Thieves on a whim and it sounds fun; it'll have a rotating cast of writers so I get to sample a little bit of everyone.

Looks like almost all of us are trying out Saga, nice! Surprised Ed isn't at least trying the first issue, a 44 page comic with no ads for $3 is something that's hard to pass up. Very eager to read it...

I have to be honest, I don't know what it's about. Plus, by the time I get in there, the possible 1 copy we have will already be gone. We get very little Image, Dark Horse, etc, unless it's the bigger seller from those companies.

It's the new Brian K Vaughan ongoing. One of the biggest image releases of year, maybe the biggest.

It's already sold out at Diamond. One store (which likely means a lot of stores) preordered more issues of Saga than high profile Marvel/DC projects. Hell, on eBay it's already selling for double the cover price! I doubt your store would only get 1 copy, it's going to be that popular. My retailer will likely put one in my file but I'm so excited about it that I'll likely go there early to make sure I get it.

One store in town here is having a buy 1 Saga, get one free, because they are having a signing with the artist in April.

Another store is having a signing with the artist tomorrow.

Did I mention the artist is from Calgary? Heh.

If anyone needs a copy, I have the feeling there will be a lot in Calgary, so let me know.

Also, if anyone wants a signed one, I can probably swing that, too!

Trust me, we don't order much from Image or Dark Horse. Marvel and DC really pay the bills and of we do order outside of that it's special ordered or requested months in advance. Those books typically sit on the shelf for months so he tries to avoid them unless he's interested or a number of customers are.

Tragic, can you have the store special order one issue for you and hold it down for you?

I could but I'd have to do it when it's first solicited. I'm honestly not too worried since I'm rarely interested in books from other companies. He'll order anything I want or he thinks I'll want but I wasn't really interested in that one. So it is t a big loss for me right now.

Grabbed Saucer County and Avengers Assemble as well. We had Saga but it was sold out. We only had a few copies.
