That is awesome.

For a somewhat inexpensive gifts, that is a great plus for the showing he cares.

Greenriver Killer is on my to-get list as well.

As far as comics go, I didn't get very many this year but the ones I did get were rather interesting choices.

A good friend of mine got me the

Wolverine limited series issues 1-4 by Claremont and Miller
Batman Year One 1-4 by Miller & Mazuchelli &
The Dark Knight Returns issues 1-4.

This is particularly funny because while I swore off acqiuring anymore Miller stuff after his rant, I can't deny the coolness of having the original floppies of these 3 limited series.

The rest of the stuff I got was mostly practical but still very much appreciated: ties and clothes. No DVDs this year.

Just remember if they are back issues it has been a long time since miller saw any money for them so no foul.

Well, they've finally come out. Lego: Super Heroes, aka the new DC and Marvel Lego sets! I couldn't pass these up: Superman vs Power Armor Lex (with a Wonder Woman mini-figure) and The Batcave (with a Batman, Bruce Wayne [does that make Batman the Dick Grayson version?], Robin [Tim Drake in OYL all red], Bane, and Poison Ivy). These are awesome looking! Plus they come with a comic book!

And damn, according to Amazon, I got these at Meijer (a mass merchandiser like Wal-Mart) for a steal! $10 off the Lex, and $20 off the Batcave. Shows that Amazon is not always the best place to buy stuff, lol.

The Punisher #4 (2011 Rucka serie)
DC presents: Son of Superman

My store failed to get those, I found them in the other comics store of Lyon. Also used eBay for the first time ever today to get #3 of the latest Criminal mini cause once again, my shop failed to get the copy.

Crisis on Infinite Earths 1-12
Secret Wars 1-12
Secret Wars II 1-9

I have COIE & SW in trade paperback but I never got SW II. I've always wanted the individual issues of these 3 limited series and finally got a chance. These books were advertised as Very Fine - Near Mint which okay by me. I wasn't looking for any NM copies. These'll do just fine. Hoping to get them signed in the near future

SW II is bad... so very bad. But in amusing sort of way.
SW I was great, though.

Crib: Check
Pampers: Check
Baby Clothes: Check
Baby: MIA

When he finally decides to show up, I'll pull my spending back a few notches...Which I'm already doing.

I was finally motivated to get the Watchmen series after the news broke that DC was doing all those prequels. Like COIE, I'd wanted the original Watchmen comics for a long time but simply kept putting it off. I got lucky and got the Watchmen comics at a reasonable price. Since the DC announcement came out, Watchmen comics have gone up in price.

Kitty Pryde & Wolverine 1-6

I always passed it up when I first started reading, but as I've been reading a lot of issues of Uncanny that I hadn't read, it kept being mentioned, so I finally found it for a decent price.
