Apparently I'd ordered The Rat Catcher and Area 10 from the Vertigo crime line (yes, Frenchie...). They came in yesterday. Good reads, too.

It's unlikely, but I can see.
Thanks, but I'll pass. It was just something I wouldn't mind having, not something I needed. If I needed it I would have put my max bid a lot higher than I did, lol.

It isn't in the best shape, but it's not horrible and unreadable by any means. All of the interiors look very good, but the cover definitely has some wear, stress, and creases along every edge. And there's a slight dent/near cut just off to the side of the Monolith's head but other than that it's in great shape. No corners missing, no huge tears, not even chunks taken off of the edge of the cover. Just stress and wear all along the edges. I'd say it's definitely Very Good, possibly the border of VG-F.

It was in a box marked at $20, but this dealer has all of his boxes at Half-off the marked price. So in reality it was on sale for 10. I couldn't pass that up at all. I knew it was an early Neal Adams issue, but I wasn't positive it was his first issue on Uncanny. Lucky me!

Got this.

I am happy with it, but not.

The sketch is neat, but was expensive.

However, it was done on tissue paper thin paper, so by the time it was home, it already had two creases in it.

I am seriously considering e-mailing the artist and complaining.

From now on I am going to pay a lot more attention to what paper is being used.

I'd complain. Especially if it was an expensive sketch, you'd expect quality paper to be used. Other than that, it indeed is a nice sketch.

Great sketch but complaining sounds like the right thing to do. Especially since you mention that Nord is a friend of your family.

Cam, do you know what your highest missing issue of Uncanny is? I'm starting to wonder if, between the two of us, we don't have a complete run on the book..

I am missing a few issues between 2 and 14, though.

Well holy crap, I think you alone have the complete set at this point. I figured out I'm missing 96 issues total, and only about 3 of them over 100 now.

I'm surprised you need so many of the reprints. My dad and I were able to get all of those for very cheap on eBay and conventions, like $5 a piece and not bad condition.

I didn't start looking for them till last spring.

I never figured I'd finish, and didn't really want to spend the money on the reprnts if I had most of the original issues.

THere actally pretty hard to find at shows.

X-Men doesn't sell well anymore, and the few I find are high grades.

Out of curiosity, what did you think of Claremont's Wild Blood? I was expecting him to have a full length comic, not some 3 page printout
