ANGEL & FAITH #1
FLASHPOINT #5

BUTCHER BAKER RIGHTEOUS MAKER #6
SKULLKICKERS #10
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #668
UNCANNY X-FORCE #14

Anyone doing the Flashpoint/JLA midnight release? I'm thinking of it. I tried to get my retailer to do it but after he asked around to see if anyone else had interest it was just me. I didn't want to force him to come to store just to sell me 2 comics, that's kinda douchey. I found a store that would be open but it's out of my way so I may just hope a scanner gets the issue and then just read it at 1am or so, lol.

Fuck me.
Jedi is the only other poster so far and his week is bigger than mine.

No one here is doing a midnight release, not enough interest.

Angel & Faith #1
Justice League #1
Vault #2

Midtown Comics by Times Square is doing a midnight release. Geoff (overrated) Johns & Jim (Lazy) Lee will be there signing copies of JLA #1, but only JLA #1. I briefly toyed with the idea of going but its not worth the hassle. Midtown is going to be packed and I expect the line to be wrapped around the block. If I attend I probably won't get home till 2 or 3 in the am. Yeah not gonna happen.

Just sleep in the street afterwards like a goddamn hobo.
Also, some other DC creators will be there earlier: Scott Snyder, Amy Reeder...

WHO THE FUCK CARES ABOUT THE OTHERS!?!
IT'S JIM GODDAMN LEE!

But seriously.

I agree with Wally, why bother going? They're both at every con in NYC, and it's a bloody Tuesday night, and he has a day job. I could understand if it was a little, fun event.

But midtown will be packed, and it will be standing in line for a couple hours, probably, then getting shooed out of the store.

On Twitter, a guy said he was there at 2:45 PM and he is seventh in the line.
This is going to be a loooooong line.

7th in line with, 7 hours to go? Good lord. I'm unemployed right now, and even think that is a waste of my time.

7 hours? So not worth it. Midtown has been really pushing this event by asking people to dress up as JLAers and other heroes for the midnight release. So in addition to a 7+ hour wait, there will be cosplayers there; and all that for a 60 second meet & greet and then they kick you out the door. I'll just jump the line at NYCC thankyouverymuch.

I remember Johns being very accessable at NYCC08 & 09 to the point where we bumped into him several times in 09. in 10' he achieved Jim Lee status & was a beast to find but eh well.

Also, having met Jim Lee several times (and famously shouting/asking who he was in 08) I'm not hard up to meet him.

Now if it was Chuck Austen, well thats a whole nother story. I'd camp out in front of his hotel

Buy
JUSTICE LEAGUE #1 $3.99
HERC #6 POINT ONE $2.99
UNCANNY X-FORCE #14 $3.99

This really is a small week. Is DC hoping that in the absence of any other DC product this week, people will automatically buy Justice League 1?
To be fair, I wouldn't be surprised if it's the top selling comic this month.

It's already sold out in a lot of places. And the frakin Digital Combo pack is selling for $18 on eBay. Why in the fuck is that copy selling more than the normal? Do they really want the damn digital copy so much that they're paying an extra $14 for it? Makes me want to go to my retailer and see if he has it since I passed on it. He only had 2 copies so he likely doesn't anymore, then again I really don't want it, but it's worth something....the collector's dilemma, I'm sure Wulf understands, lol.

That's what they say. I'm eager to find out the exact number sold. I wish they could differentiate between the number sold to retailers and the number literally sold to consumer. I'm sure we'll be able to find out how many digital copies were sold, that I'm interested in finding out.

I could care less about this month. In a month it'll be in the dollar bins.

All hype, and the comic fell flat.
The sketch variant will retain some worth, but at $200 to buy, it's not exactly a stellar boy.

I have a feeling this will be like Valiant in the old days, hot right off the press but give it maybe half a year. It'll fall just as hard a Spawn 1, you can't even give that away anymore...
