Did anyone watch it? I saw about the first 40 minutes then zoned out. I left it on in the background while I did some work but wasn't really paying attention until the very end.
From what I read, there were hardly any surprises and from the little I saw, the hosts, James Franco & Anne Hathway were not that good.

Personally, having not seen any of the films for the most part, and with the ability to see the list of results and winners within minutes of them being announced, I've got no reason to watch them. If I want to know who won I can look it up that night or the next day, so it takes away the need to watch and see them.
I wanted to watch for Hathaway, but didn't feel like subjecting myself for what could've been a horrendous 3 or 4 hours just to see her make a few good jokes or so.

This is the first full Oscars that I've watched in several years. Being a humongous film buff (I completely saw films in 14 categories including the main ones) it's a big deal for me. Have to say, James Franco was a bad choice. I though Anne Hathaway did a great job, but then again I'm biased cause she's so fucking hot it's distracting. They tried to be "young and hip" but failed at that. And I do have to get something off my chest....
