This could be useful : http://eataku.tumblr.com/

Other thing to do this weekend : check the website of NY's comics store and see what kind of event they are organizing during NYCC.

Mostly just not supposed to be sight-seeing when they're setting everything up. There might not even be much set-up, definatly not on Wednesday.

We can always try and have a look and see.

Still don't know when I'll even be able to grab the tickets.

OK, no problem then. It's not like we don't have anything else planned on Thursday. :)

Arn, can you send me a copy of the 7 pages of panels you cut it down to?

I was thinking it might seem improper for exhibitors to be buying their shit during 'set-up' hour. Plus, will vendors be willing to sell at this point?

If anything, just some time to walk around and become familiar with where obscure loctions like the Dynamite and Avatar tables are, will be a good use of our time. And the numbering of panel rooms.

They do a shit-load of selling to each other, generally in bulk. Very incestuous, comic book dealing at cons.

It's how the re-stock their boxes. I get the best deals buying before a show.

I think our best time will be the professional hours from 10 to 1, where hopefully the creators will be there walking around, and we can politely ask for autographs.

I would like to do some shopping before the Con proper starts because 1) Avoiding the masses of other people also shopping makes it much easier 2) I'm looking for some issues to get signed and I scoured pretty much all of Manhattan with no luck (which has never happened before).

Finding those issues before the Con begins would be great because then I don't have to run around looking for them while hoping I don't miss the creators.

Also I'm such a fucking procrastinator that I still haven't pulled my complete list of comics that I want to get signed.

I can't find 4 comics I really want to get signed.

It's a bitch in Calgary to find back issues from 2000 to now, all the stores keep them in their warehouses instead of the store. Damn.

Guys, Ivan Brandon and CB Cebulski both recommend that if we want to go to dinner during the NYCC weekend, we should make reservations unless we want to go to generic places like TGI Fridays.

Hrm.

I might ask Ian (my brother) if he knows any cool spots we could have dinner for a decent price.

Okay after complaining about my super procrastination yesterday, I went through my books and pulled out every book that I wanted to get signed. Its no more than 12 or so with 2 or 3 being from the same creator.

I am, however, still missing a few titles I am really hoping to score at NYCC & get them signed.

I think, I am good to go.

Also, rather than go to work on Wednesday and take half the day off to meet up with you guys later, I said fuck it and requested the entire day off.

To XIII, Wulf Stocky & Mitch, of the considerable number of books you guys are bringing, how many of them do you realistically expect to get signed?
