DC for February 2010

Post by XIII »

Because Tragic is a lazy sob or too busy spanking to the latest Geoff Johns zombie story... ;)

http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page ... e&id=23737

The usual stuff :

BATMAN AND ROBIN #8
BATMAN AND ROBIN #9
DETECTIVE COMICS #862
BATMAN: STREETS OF GOTHAM #9
EX MACHINA #48
AIR #18
DAYTRIPPER # 3
DMZ #50
CINDERELLA: FROM FABLETOWN WITH LOVE #4
FABLES #93
GREEK STREET #8
JOE THE BARBARIAN #2
NORTHLANDERS #25
SCALPED #36
THE UNWRITTEN #10
UNKNOWN SOLDIER # 17

Streets of Gotham is definitely getting the axe. I can't gather interest for this book. I thought it'd be closer to Gotham Central. It's a Batman book disguised under a fake premise of "how does the Batman affect the people on the streets".
Also "Air" is on the fence. Too smart for me I think.

New stuff and TPBs :

DEMO VOL. 2 #1
MYSTERIUS THE UNFATHOMABLE TP
AREA 10 HC
Y: THE LAST MAN DELUXE EDITION BOOK THREE HC
ABSOLUTE PLANETARY BOOK TWO HC
ABSOLUTE PLANETARY BOOK ONE HC NEW PRINTING

Now the question is : should I get the absolute Planetary? Is it worth it? You help!!

Batman & Robin #8-9
Streets of Gotham #9
Gotham City Sirens #9
Superman/Batman #69
Brave & The Bold #32
Justice Society of America #36
Justice League of America #42
Air #18
Fables #93

Batman: Heart of Hush tpb
Wonder Woman: Ends of the Earth

Maybe:
Last Days of Animal Man tpb

I'm enjoying Streets of Gotham as well as Air, though admittedly Air can get somewhat confusing at times. Thats when its time for the old second read through. However, it has gotten a bit less enjoyable since it kicked off. I've already dropped Greek Street and another title I can't remember at the moment. At present, my pull list is 95% DC/Vertigo/Other and 5% Marvel, with Marvel only being DD, X-Men, Uncanny X-Men & Powers

Also with Ex Machina coming to a close soon, thats another title off the list, and I still haven't gotten around to reading the last few trades for 100 Bullets... nd Sleeper (D's gonna kill me).

And Tragic is not being lazy. He didn't put up the list because he's doing homework :hehe:

Sadly, Wally was right. I've been bogged with work lately, and I'm still about 2 weeks behind. And I have 1 week to do it all in. Anyways:

BLACKEST NIGHT #7
GREEN LANTERN #51
BLACKEST NIGHT: FLASH #3
BLACKEST NIGHT: JSA #3
BLACKEST NIGHT: WONDER WOMAN #3... Read More
BLACK LANTERN GREEN ARROW #30 (Green Arrow & Black Canary #30)
BATMAN AND ROBIN #8
BATMAN AND ROBIN #9
DETECTIVE COMICS #862
OUTSIDERS #27
RED ROBIN #9
SUPERGIRL #50
GREEN ARROW & BLACK CANARY #29
JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #42
TITANS #22
WONDER WOMAN #41
DANTE’S INFERNO #3

I might grab Adventure Comics #7 as well. But I'm not sure.

The final 3 BN Minis, along with the near end of the main title has me pretty excited for this month, as I'm in love with all of it so far, as Arn pointed out as well. And like Wally, I'm down to about under 20% Marvel in terms of ongoings, and maybe close to 25% Marvel in total when adding in minis. And honestly I kinda really like it that way.
