I say use it. Don't let ole anal-retentive MGM shit all over this board's self-expression. The sig isn't even that big and gaudy. It's just plain awesome. Is there anyway to get a flaming croissant or two in there, though.The French Biscuit wrote:What could have been;
I kind of like it better without the flames actually. That text effect is cool.
And then everyone will use one and then we'll be back to the JDC sigs. No, thank you.Junkogen wrote:I say use it. Don't let ole anal-retentive MGM shit all over this board's self-expression. Gawd, I hadn't thought of that. >.< You know, it's a really tough call about those things. Personally, I don't like them but it's what a group of guys on BX feel very passionate about. But this probably isn't the place to have this particular debate though, eh?MGM wrote:And then everyone will use one and then we'll be back to the JDC sigs. No, thank you.
I've only just started using it, but here's what I've noticed so far.MGM wrote:What's the big difference with CS3 (which is what I use)?
Nah, s'alright, but thank you for the love.Junkogen wrote:I say use it. Don't let ole anal-retentive MGM shit all over this board's self-expression. The sig isn't even that big and gaudy. It's just plain awesome. Is there anyway to get a flaming croissant or two in there, though.
Thank you CC!ChimeraCreative wrote:It's tasteful, striking and deceptively simple. I can't find a fault with it, asides from the noticeable lack of croissants of doom. ^_^ The letters and colours remind me of something but I can't quite figure out what. >.<
Meek could make JDC avatars.ChimeraCreative wrote:Gawd, I hadn't thought of that. >.< You know, it's a really tough call about those things. I don't want them either. It's just a bunch of crap we don't need.Junkogen wrote:I say use it. Don't let ole anal-retentive MGM shit all over this board's self-expression. If that's all, I'll stick with CS3 for the moment. Loadup is pretty fast for me, but I've got a quick computer. Of course, you can't load CS3 with a not quick computer.The French Biscuit wrote:I've only just started using it, but here's what I've noticed so far.
All the panels in all the programs are more alike than in previous editions and it's easier to go from one program to the other.
Load up time is faster than CS3, even for InDesign which usually takes all day.
It has a cleaner look, but the layout of things is pretty much the same.
You can't load a damn thing of a slow computer. I was stuck on my parent's computer over Christmas and it only has 500MB of RAM.MGM wrote:If that's all, I'll stick with CS3 for the moment. 4 GB sounds sweet, I'm going to upgrade my PC to that next month. 2.5 GB has already been life changing, 4 GB should push me closer to enlightenment.MGM wrote:More or less, my PC has 768 MB RAM and I'm running CS2 on it. My laptop has 4 GB, which is rather enough for CS3.
