Hey, I'm about to start the fourth book of the Game of Thrones saga. I remember you saying book 4 and 5 are mediocre. Can you tell me why, without spoiling the stories? I'm curious. Is it the story development? the writing style?

I heard there's more time for character development, less about the big battles and happenings.

It goes no where. 4 was mediocre, it was just slow, 5 was bad because nothing happens.

The writing is still good, the book just get really, really drawn out. And nothing happens.

Also, book 4 ends in cliffhangers, that took 5 or 6 years for the next book to come out, which won't matter to you.

OK, that's kinda what I was expecting from your first comment and how the 3rd book ended. I'll still give it a try.

The Emerald City guest list is getting pretty huge.

I thought I would ask if anyone would like anything signed?

Possibly a queen and country comic for Arn?

There are a bunch of creators going, too it seems that they haven't annouced. Probably trying to stagger them for more coverage.

Clayton Crain & Ryan Ottley being two.

My sketchbook is drooling in front of the guest list. I'd get sketches from the following :
Chris Burnham
Greg Capullo
Marian Churchland
Tom Fowler
Francesco Francavilla
Steve Lieber
Clay Mann
Scott Morse
Phil Noto
Ramon Perez
Chris Samnee
Matt Wagner

My sketchbook is weeping.

My sketch list: I am going to have to drop a couple. This is a grand in sketches.

Tony Moore 200 11x17 if he chooses to do yours
Ryan Ottley 200 11x17
Chris Samnee 175 to 250 for 1 character or two on a 9x12
Adi Granov Free 8 by 10!
Greg Capullo ??
Steve Lieber 60 - 8x12 with some background
Terry Dodson 200 11x17
Clayton Crain 200 9x12 marker - Order Online

If I could get you some of your sketchbook, I would.

It's a shame this one is on the west coast for you guys, this looks to be a great show alternative to NYCC.

And Seattle is WAY cheaper than NYC.

Little advice : if you want something from Adi Granov, plan some time. The guy does great stuff but boy is he slow!!!

We'll do it one day, Cameron, we'll do it.

Do you reckon I could send you a couple of comics to get signed?

Sure, be more than happy to.

If they are comics you do not already have signed, let me look for copies here first, though.

It would be cheaper and easier if I can find them for a couple bucks here or there than shipping them.

I also thing Adi Granov will be my Saturday or Sunday morning thing.

My Montreal guys are at the show, so I have the pass covered which will help.

Ottley is first priority, then Dodson/Moore.

Moore you just drop off your name though, so that's easy.

I suppose that BX could visit Seattle after NYCC2013.

I am curious to see how the line-up changes for NYCC this year and next. It's ben pretty standard for the few years we went,. Great line-up, but not much variation.

I'd really like to go to a London con to see Europe based creators.

One day when I get some more cash, I'll fly over.

As you well know, the flight and convention stuff gets expensive, and I'd like to do it right!

Stan Lee is coming to Calgary.

Maybe Oscar can get my FF 51 signed for me!

I got an iPad today.

Uploaded all my comic lists onto it, and installed a comic reader with Q&C 1-32 as well. Should be interesting to see how it works.
