I wasn't a fan in 2009.

But I had him sign a wolverine comic.

I have a HUGE stack for him now.

I just spent 15 minutes looking at last minute flights.

If you could swing it, it'd be awesome if you came. Doing the Con, while fun, wouldn't be the same without at least one of youse guys

Will your con have an authentic Batmobile replica for you to sit in?

Mine did. I was the Goddamn Batman behind the Goddamn Bat-steering wheel.

Epic.

I wish I could do NYC though.

Montreal did. I was sitting behind it, too!

2 Questions.

1) Would it be a dick move if I asked Joe Quesada to sign a copy of Batman: Sword of Azrael #1? I think he might refuse to sign it but I don't think he'd take offense to it right?

2) Mark Hamil will be attending NYCC. On a scale of 1 -10 with 1 being very difficult and 10 being insane-forget-about-it-its-not-gonna-happen, do I have a shot in hell of getting something signed by him and/or a picture with him?

I guess getting a pic/signature from Hamil will just depend on what else you want to do that day. If you're willing to wait in a line for a few hours I'm sure it'd happen. But then again I guess it depends on what else you'd want to do right?

Every time I try to look at the guest list on the official site my computer basically dies. I keep seeing some people I'd want to meet, but I can't get the site to work on my dinosaur of a computer it seems.

Without paying?

Not a chance in hell.

Mine too, Ed. Too much flash, it just freezes horribly.

I'm unwilling to write down the guests for you guys. I'd be wanting to go all the more for it. :D

Also, why would Quesada not want to sign that Azrael comic?

Because Quesada is Marvel's CCO and perhaps does not want to do something directly that may seem as though he's supporting DC

He was the artist on it, wasn't he?

Personally, I'd find it rather childish of him if he wouldn't want to sign it.

Yeah, Quesada was the artist and I know there's no love lost between him & DC but I don't want him to make a big stink about it.

I wouldn't mind paying to get a meet & greet with Hamil but I don't want to spend half the day just waiting for him to show up and when he does, all I get is a 5 second pat on the back before he takes off - ala Stan Lee last year.

Quesada will sign it without problem I think.
I'm sure Jim Lee still signs tons of X-Men comics even though he is DC co-publisher.

Signing a comic you drew is no big deal. If he doesn't. he's a dick.

McFarlene signs a shitload of ASM.

Wally has arranged for his pass for NYCC.

He can get in line early and stand there to get stuff for us!

Wally, are you going to go all 4 days? Or maybe take take during Saturday afternoon or something?

Many thanks to Wulf for hooking me up with tickets. I'll definitely be going all 4 days but Sunday I'll probably cut out early.

As of right now, I'm going to try and get 2 variant covers of Pigs from Image & the new Chris Claremont title for Wulf.

Tragic has said he may want something but it's a wait and see.

Anyone else? And as I said earlier, I will do my absolute best to try and score stuff for you guys but no gurantees.

Psyched about tomorrow!

I was only kidding about getting everyone stuff, but thank you for trying to get my stuff!

The show is getting huge, expecting 100 000+ people.

Oddly though, the show exclusives this year aren't awesome. The guests however, look top notch.

I'm really excited to hear about your impressions of a 4 day show!

I do appreciate the offer, though I'll probably pass on getting anything. Most of what I'm still looking for I can find easily enough because they're recent issues. That, and they're supposedly on order for me at my shop. I just haven't gotten them yet. But it's also been over a month or so for one.

Thanks for the offer but I really couldn't find anything that I absolutely had to have. Coolest thing I could find that was an exclusive was a Flashpoint Batman figure but upon realizing that would just sit on a shelf it's not something I want you to go out of your way to get. If only they had cool stuff like the Corps Hal Jordan/White Lantern Sinestro that came out last year at one of the Cons, but nope...

I've checked but I can't think of anything I'd want this year.
Mostly, have fun, try to take some pics and share!
