Gotham Central vol 1: In the Line of Duty

Post by Mr Wallstreet »

Just got through vol 1. This is what The Wire would be like if it took place in Gotham. 95% of the books focus is on the GCPD. Everything about this book has the feel a good cop show. Batman's appearance is kept to a bare minimum while the rest of the series focuses on crime & cop aspect.

Must read vol 2.

ASAP

I'd be interested in this. I'd like to read earlier stories of Renee Montoya if possible, and we have Vol. 1 in the shop. If I get the chance I'll take a look at it sometime soon.

It's a pheonominal read, easily one of my top 5 of the least ten years.

It's awesome, I definitely recommend it. Or at least 3/4 of the series, the last year with Infinite Crisis got a bit strange (I think, can't remember it too clearly, lol).

I went in, and after sitting on the shelf for a week, someone had finally picked it up earlier today it seems.

Had that happen many times, it really sucks! There was a brick of Heroclix I had been staring at for like a month, contemplating getting it. I finally went in specifically to get it and found out someone had bought it that day.

This is obviously no excuse to order the book again and read it then.
