Post-Christmas Sales

Post by Tragic Angelus »

Anyone know of any really good ones? I found a few on Amazon but nothing I wanted right yet.

Also, it looks like I get to run the store again today and possibly even tomorrow so if you can think of any good post-Christmas sales I can make for today let me know! I'll pop in randomly and see if you guys give me any ideas

Doesn't Milehigh have one? Or was that a pre-Christmas sale?

Bleedingcool ran an article about some.
The only thing worth getting would be the Complete Calvin & Hobbes at Amazon US at 50% off. But Malorie would kill me.

Ah I forgot to check out Fearless Readers!! They were at our con and I looked them up later. They've got the whole Titans run I want, and it was about $1 an issue then but shipping was a bit high then. I'll definitely look it up now!

Ah yes, that's one of my favorite online shops. They even sent me a Christmascard along with all the 100 Bulelts TPB's. And it's not even a post-Christmas sale. They have sales like this 3 or 4 times a year.

Incidentally, if you want something, let me know. But I think the sale ends today.

Dude, I'm not sure if they ship to other countries than Holland and Belgium.
If you place it early and it won't work, you can still get me to do it.

So I got words from the guy at cheap-comics.com and I must say I don't really understand his reasoning.

The site is supposed to ship to Holland, Belgium and Germany only. They say if we are not from this country, we should drop them a mail to ask about the shipping cost.
I prepared an order of about 170 euros (for 16 books, including HCs) and asked them how much it would cost.
The answer is that no matter the amount of books I order, the shipping would be 14.95 euros (very acceptable price) BUT they cannot give the discounts on the books!

For example, they are discounting right now the TPBs of X-Factor at around $6 a TPB each. Well, if I were to pass an order for those TPBs, they would charge me the regular prices of around 15€ (higher than the real price in the US!!).

I really don't see the logic behind all this, except they are losing a potentially huge client.

Damn the Dutchies!

Oh! It was actually a big misunderstanding between 2 people using English when it's not their first language!
He meant that he can't give me the discount on the shipping!!
So it is so fucking worth it!!!
I'm ordering the hell out of this webstore!!!!

YAY!!!!
