I haven't decided if I like, hate or am indifferent towards the GL costume.

I think Thor himself looks fine, but Odin looked totally weird when I saw him. I couldn't figure out what to make of how he looked. One of the things I thought was literally 'fake' and 'photoshopped' because it just didn't sit right with me.
As far as the GL image, I'm not making up my mind about the costume until I see it in motion. It's a motion capture suit that's mostly CGI, so I feel like seeing a static image just doesn't do any justice to it. Maybe I'm wrong, and seeing it in motion will show me the exact same thing, but I can't think it'll look the same when it's shown flying thru space and the like.
As for Norton, I don't even care that he's gone. I think he did fine as Banner, but I don't expect Banner to have a huge part in Avengers, and from what I read he caused enough problems and arguements during the production of Incredible Hulk that having him on for this film would cause more problems and be filled with headbutting. Hell, he even said he didn't think coming back as Banner was important about a year or so ago, unless the fans really felt it was, and now that Avengers is looking to be a huge hit now that both Iron Man films have been successful, he wants in. His film wasn't that great, but the others leading into Avengers most likely will be, and he wants to get back on board? Yea, I'm fine with him not being there.
I'm not a Norton fan for the most part, and I have a hard time seeing him play a hero to begin with. Anyone can be Banner becaue Hulk is all they really care about. I read that Ruffalo is now around the top of the list to take on the role of Banner, and I would MUCH more prefer him to do it. I don't see Hulk being much more than possibly someone the Avengers fight (ala Ultimates) at some point, and most likely bowing out by the time an Avengers 2 rolls around as someone they need to hunt down and trap.

I'm still making my mind up on the GL suit. It looks different, but it makes more sense the way it. I can't wait to see it on the other GLs and such, and motion makes a HUGE difference. Static it looks different, in motion it might look much more awesome. I do wonder why they didn't go with a more general "costume" like in the comics.

Well I think they're basing it off the fact that it's generated by his ring in the film, like it's generally supposed to be in the comics (but always ends up managing to look tattered and ripped) so it comes off as fluid, and powered by his will. I'm assuming there will be a glow to it, and possible lighting effects that make it look different during different things he does or the like. Who knows.

Cap/Thor movie posters
What do you guys think?
Just from the look of it, I'm much more excited about the Thor movie. The poster makes it look like a true Clash of the Titans. Thor and Loki duking it out atop a mountain looks all kinds of badass.

Green Lantern posters are up:

Thoughts?
The posters look great. They look mysterious & exciting. The subtlety is nicely done as well; no big splash of a battle scene or super hero posing on the poster. Just half a face with a tag line. However, I found myself chuckling at the Hector Hammond & Sinestro posters only because I find mustaches on aliens to be comical.
Oh and it appears Mark Ruffalo is going to play the Incredible Hulk in the Avengers film. I let a out a 3 minute long frsutrated "awwwwww" when I heard that news. Such a let down...

Posters are cool, and I'm glad to see the Oath being used to promote the show. Also, at SDCC Johns stated that Parallax will be in the GL film, and from what I read in an overview of the film, he'll be pretty prominant as an enemy, though I don't know how reliable that would be.
As for Ruffalo, I'm 100% ok with that because I like him a hell of a lot more than Norton. But from what I saw of the Avengers cast being announced at SDCC, he looked like he couldn't smile to save his life. I don't know if it was because he had rushed to get there since he was signed the night before or what, but to me he didn't look too happy to be there.

Also, at SDCC they had on display the deceased body of Abin Sur from the Green Lantern Film. Kind of a cool, and creepy, prop. Looks like his heart may've been ripped out...

Abin Sur's body prop looks cool. Though the first time I saw it, I thought it was a prop from The Walking Dead tv show.
One thing thats been mentioned about the GL posters that people have brought up and I initially ignored but can't anymore: Ryan Reynolds face looks frowny. As Hal he should either be stoic or have a big f'ing grin on his face that stretches ear to ear; not be looking all emo and what not. This isn't a huge or even minor problem I have with the film, it just irritates me a little bit.
However, the main point remains: DC really needs to hit this out of the park. This needs to be DC's Iron Man or I doubt we'll be seeing any more DC properties on the big screen outside of Batman & Superman for the forseeable future. If GL brings in huge returns at the box office and wins critical acclaims, I think it'll help get the Wonder Woman film back up off the ground in addition to giving the Green Light (no pun intended) for a Flash film. Again, this is all contingent upon GL being as sucessfull as Iron Man was. And that is no small feat.

Agreed. They seem to be putting a lot into this, and not messing around with most of the names they've signed on. While they're not huge stars outside of Reynolds, they're not exactly new comers or people who don't have their own following.
The downside is, it's going up against Thor next summer. And coming off of the two Iron Man films, and what looks like an AMAZING trailer that leaked online last night, GL really really needs to be an awesome movie or else DC is going to sink back down.

Tony Scott evidently is going to direct the movie version of Mark Millar's and Steve McNiven's Nemesis.
