It's based on a book series by Charlaine Harris I've been reading for years.

Just saw the first episode. Pretty good! I might catch the rest as well, I like.

Done! Wow, mind blown. I guessed that one guy's secret in the first episode, but didn't know who the killer was until they showed his face. WOO!

So eh... can we spoil here? After all, I think we three are the only ones who've seen it, and entirely to boot.
I thought the season started stronger than it ended, it was more creepy and the further it progressed, the more weird (and I mean haha weird, like the mother of Jason's friend) and mushy relationshippy it all got. The killer was on my short list, but I'd've never guessed it.
Looking forward to season 2, though. Especially looking forward to Jessica, actually. Very funny.

What guy? Bill the vamp? That he was a telepath as well? That's the deal, right?

Yeah, it got steadily more ridiculous and ham-fisted, particularly with the "racism" stuff, as it went on. Yes, vampires are just like black people! It's the south! We get it.
The drug addict stuff was weird too.

No, the shapeshifter. Bill the vamp is a telepath? I had no idea. When did they say that?

They didn't really. But there's this scene where he comes to speak in the church about the Civil War. They cut twice to him sitting in the back, with voices talking about him, just the way they voice-over it when Sookie hears in on people's thoughts. Maybe I read too much into it. Was it ever established she can't hear vampires at all, or is it just him?

Bill is not a telepath. He just has exceptional hearing. He can hear a flies wings beat.
She cannot hear any vampires thoughts.

Oh, okay. That went over my head than.
I figured it was all vampires, but I wasn't too sure about it. Than again, the scene in Fangtasia with her interrogating all humans was obvious enough.
Season 2 is coming this summer. Wulf, does the story keep up being good like this?

In the books yes, gets even better.
In the TV show? Who knows. The writers are the same, so hopefully.
Hopefully season two does introduce the other half of the supernaturals.

There are a lot of supernaturals in the books, the first season of the TV show actually cut a few of them out.

I also read the latest death in the show is very unlike in the book. I'm prepared for werewolves!

Are you talking about the season finale death?

Yeah, but I'm not talking about the killer himself. The one that occured outside the bar.

Yeah. Apparently that might be very different than the books.
In the books it is very obvious who was killed.

And from what I read, it's also at a completely different place.
