Goal II - Living The Dream

I am a sucker for these rags to riches to stories. Especially when they involve sports.
The 2nd film in a planned trilogy has Santiago Munez on the road to even greater glory when he has the opportunity to play Football
for Real Madrid. Of course moving to Spain to play strains his relationship with his fiance, Roz, and as well as the added pressures of celebrity life. Munez soon falls victim to the fame, glitz, women and glamour and begins acting like a total dick. Then an injury threatens his career.
All this, of course, and he soon finds out his mother who abandoned who him and his family many years ago is now living in Spain with a family of her own raising her son, Munez' half-brother, who is slowly getting out of control and getting into trouble with the law.
The film is drama heavy but also has plenty of action, in the form of games Real Madrid plays against other countries (though they are only snippets of games) that showcase Munez football skills as well as his friend Gavin Harris and the legendary David Beckham.
Anyone who likes rags to riches stories should definitely rent this film. Its good fun
