Whitechapel (spoilers)

I just finished watching the entire series on Amazon prime. It's a great British procedural crime drama in the vein of Luther but with a hint of Supernaturual sprinkled in it. The charectors are deeply broken and human in a way I had not seen on Luther. Most of the time on, not just a procedural, you'll get a series of charectors who have run of the mill flaws. Rarely do you get a drama in which the lead charector has an almost debilitating phobia that actively prevents him from doing his job properly.
Having watched all 4 seasons I am sad that a 5th season was not made as there is one major & several minor (but no less intriguing) dangling plot lines that were not resolved. The major one being the supernatural elements that seem to haunt the Whitechapel district and the station house. DC Kent's sexual orientation; the old lady who seems to be every where.
Did anyone else see it and if so what were your thoughts?
