Constantine

Post by Stocky Boy »

Boring. :/

Like with Flash, it did set up what it will be doing each episode:

- Flash , help/apprehend other metas.
- Constantine , follow up other demon apparitions.

It also set up a long term goal:
- Save Astra, save own soul

Mystery:
- What's Angel Micheal from Lost's real agenda?

Supporting character:
- x 2, Chaz and lead girl

Don't really know why, but I just found Constantine uninteresting. I think the lead guy's accent is quite poo. I worry that the show is actually a case of someone trying to tap into Doctor Who, but with magic.

Nevertheless, I'll be catching it. It's Constatine.

Of all the DC shows premiering, I'm most excited for Constantine. It has real potential to bean an ages horror tv show without being too cheesy and simultaneously being a great character driven show. I don't know if anyone watches Supernatural but it could be something like that or Buffy but with better special effects.

So regarding accents, is Constantine's accent poo because it's fake or just a really terrible accent?

I remember people giving David Boreanaz a lot of shit because his Irish accent was terribly terrible.

Supernatural was awesome, then terrible and now pretty good again. I'd settle with Constatine for the level of Supernatural has now.

The accent is both poop and not Liverpudlian, which they were presumably going for.

I think the lead guy is the voice actor behind Edward Conway in Assassin's Creed 4 Blag Flag.

The first episode seemed to do cuts in odd places. Constantine seems to go from England to America with no real transition.

When does the first episode actually air?

No clue, but I heard it ends different than the leaked version.

I dunno if it is because it was a while since I saw episode 1, but I quite liked the second episode. The only thing I don't really like is Constantine being sorta... Well, inept. He's not the cunning and ruthless bastard from Hellblazer. He in a way is Constantine-lite. Yet, I liked it. Be size apart from being the infamous mage he should be, he is everything else he should be. I'm looking forward to the next episode.

I loved the first 2 episode. He obviously wasn't as hardcore as the comic character but he still fit in the same character-type, I thought.
