My sister got me on it awhile ago and I was in and out for a bit but
I Watch reruns all the time. I think it's very funny and at least I get half of the jokes most people don't. I don't however think The actress playing Penny is as hot as many make her it to be. She's attractive but a lot of people rave about her being a super hottie and I disagree.

She's a girl next door. A pretty girl next door, but nothing more. I don't think she ever was intended to be something else, though. Also, she's b een gaining weight throughout the seasons.

Yes, yes she has.
But more than anything, I think she is funny, and relate-able to most viewers, as she isn't a knockout.

Yes I just finished season 1 last week. I am slow on the uptake.
Regarding the actress playing Penny, she is attractive but not necessarily drop dead gorgeous which is fine. However, my problem with Penny is her seemingly limited range of expressions. She spent most of the first season looking confused and bewildered whenever the other actors would act geeky or speak about things that were above her.
It was funny the first dozen times but going into season 2, it got to be annoying. Hoping that changes.

Season 2 was good, season 3 gets really bad, I thought. Season 4 it gets better again.
Anyone find Sheldon a really uneven written character?
His quirks and what-not seem to change drastically depending on who wrote the episode.

I have noticed that. I think a lot of it was that he became the break out character after a season, so you look at his quirks in one season and they change the next. You can really notice it when you watch it on channels that play a S1 episode followed by a S3 episode in the same hour. I don't think he was fully defined when they first started and they've continued to change him around a bit for whatever would be funniest.
