Well, it's been a few weeks for new TV shows here in the States, and my schedule has already shifted. What have you guys been watching, if anything?

I started with

The Playboy Club
Glee-returning
New Girl
Raising Hope- returning
American Horror Story
Whitney
Pan Am

Almost all of them have been great. I really liked The Playboy Club more than Pan Am in terms of period dramas, but sadly Playboy Club is the first victim of Fall TV cancellations after 3 episodes.

New Girl is ok, but I don't care for it very much. I think it's doing well falling between Glee and Raising Hope, which is hilarious. I really only watch it since it's between those two.

Whitney is very fun, and I really like Whitney Cummings. I wont lie, I'm a bit surprised to see it get picked up for a full season but I'll follow it along for a while.

America Horror Story just premiered and hot damn this is the Ryan Murphy & Brad Falchuk type of TV show I missed when Nip/Tuck went off the air. I love their Glee, but this is the type of drama and suspense that only a cable series can provide, and they nailed it again. It's messed up and has TONS of questions left by the end, but it's very good.

What about you guys? Anything new that you're enjoying?

I think this year has been the worst year for pilots since I can remember.
The sitcoms are bad, especally when compared to the mid-season replacements from last year like Happy Endings & Traffic Light (which got cancelled).

The dramas like Pan Am, and Playboy Club I have yet to watch, but reviews all call them a poor mans Mad Men.
American Horror Story I have high hopes for, but Ryan Murphy has a bad track record of running his great shows into the ground after a few seasons.

Everything I've enjoyed isn't new, which is very strange for me.

I am enjoying "Up All Night", a new sitcom with Christina Applegate and a dude from Arrested Development.

Pan Am and Playboy Club were definitely modeled after Mad Men, tho I've seen very little of that show. I do want to get into it, I just don't have the money to get caught up just yet. I enjoyed Playboy Club far more than Pan Am. Pan Am just isn't very interesting, and honestly I've only watched it On Demand rather than as it premiered. I'd say pass on both since PC is already off the air.

I thought about Up All Night but never got around to it. Has it been picked up for a full season?

Also, I saw some of Traffic Light last year and I didn't enjoy it very much. I couldn't figure out the concept of it for the most part.

They are trying to shop PC around to another network.

Up All Night got a full season pick-up yesterday.

Traffic Light was one you needed to watch from the beginning to really get it, like community.

I read there were at least 6 episodes of PC. I wouldn't mind seeing more of that one.

Almost forgot, The Walking Dead will have my Sunday starting next week. Pan Am is basically out as of now.

Traffic Light was my favorite new show last year, so sad when it got cancelled.

I'm really enjoying Up All Night and The Secret Circle. 2 Broke Girls is ok, but sometimes it's too over the top and it seems they're trying too hard with all the sexual jokes. New Girl, I just couldn't get into it, I watched the first episode but it didn't do much for me.

2 Broke Girls to me is just trying to hard, like you said, it makes it so very unfunny.
It would have been great on premium cable if they didn't have to water it down.

New Girl is bad, Zooey Deschanel just isn't funny, she's just kind of sad. I do really enjoy the douchebag jar gag, though.

The Douchebag jar was a great touch, but I haven't seen it in the last 2 episodes sadly. it usually has about 1 funny moment amid 20 minutes of awkward trying to hard comedy that falls flat.

I didn't even bother with any more episodes of the show after the pilot. Dan/Cap'n Jack was watching the newest today and I could hear it in my room, it sounded kinda dumb =o/
