Not a single review for it?
For shame

Twas awesome. Best X-movie so far. Too bad about all the fucking purists out there who bitch about it wasn't like this in the comic and you can't rewrite history like this.

I'm a purist and I still loved the movie. Sure, a couple of times in the movie I did turn to my dad and go "that's definitely not how it happened" lol. So far everyone I've talked to has enjoyed it. A couple thought the dialog was a bit stale in places but still enjoyed it.

It was very good. Much funnier than the previous three X-Men films, but it was enjoyable. I had only a few complaints, the major one being that I didn't like how Emma Frost sounded. She didn't have that confidence and arrogance I expect from her. If you've seen the Wolverine and the X-Men animated, that's how I expected her to sound.
Overall a very good film, and has one of the best one liner and cameo spots I've ever seen. We were all laughing hard at that one.

Yeah, that one liner is the best.fucking.cameo.EVER! Plain and simple, the whole theatre couldn't stop laughing at it.
Plus, the cameo that Mystique turns into is very badass and I applaud Matthew Vaughn for doing that.

I missed this one, what was it?

It was neat, but I don't think it was really all that great. A nice call back sure, but nothing that made me go 'oh my god!' or anything. Minor Spoiler..
She turns into Rebecca Romijn in the scene where she tries to seduce Magneto and he says 'maybe in a few years'. It's a nice touch, but a lot of people seem to miss it, which is easy when she almost never appeared as herself outside of about 5 minutes total between the 3 X-Men movies before this. Again, kind of neat but nothing I really got excited about.

Didn't see that one either.
So, I was wondering, did the one big cameo say 'fuck' in the US version as well?
Also, was this the first recent Marvel movie without Stan Lee?

Yep to both.
In the US, you're automatically able to get 1 Fuck and keep the movie PG-13. You can squeeze in another 1 or 2 depending on the content of the movie but I doubt X-Men could have afforded 2.

Yes, 'fuck' was in the US version and it is pretty much what caused us to laugh our asses off for awhile.
I don't think it was the first. There was another one that he wasn't in I think, but the first of the bigger ones yes.

I caught that, didn't think of it as a cameo though.

Saw it, thought it was great. I caught the two cameos the first time around.
Agreed about Emma Frost not coming off as tough or as arrogant as she does in the animated shows/books. A shame though as she seemed very under utizilized. I expect she'll have a bigger part in the next film.
Only qualm I had about the movie was about
Spoilers
Magneto choking Emma with metal poles while shes in diamond form. Diamond form is obviously supposed to be nearly unbreakable? How he was using the metal poles to choke her by breaking the diamond around her neck just didn't make any sense...It's diamond. Diamond is harder than Metal...Beyond that I thought it was a great film.

I don't think Stan Lee appeared in any of the X-men films or the Elektra films. He was in Thor though

He's in all three of the previous X-Men films, though yes I don't think he's in Daredevil or Elektra, though it's been years since I've seen them.

He was in Daredevil, he's the guy that youngMatt pushes out of the way and subsequently Matt gets splashed with the chemicals.

Oooh that's right.
In X-Men he's on the beach getting a hotdog when Senator Kelly washes up on it.
In X-Men The Last Stand he's watering his lawn when Magneto & Xavier visit Jean early on.
But I can't remember who/where he is in X2.

I'm in the bus back from the theatre. Bloody great movie. Singer works the magic again.

...Don't you mean Matthew Vaughn?

Apparently Arns magical mind for creators doesn't extend to movies.

Singer did produce the film though, and I'm sure his acts went further than just that.
