Not sure if everyone heard or not, but Kevin Smith did the ultimate FUCK YOU to people when he bought the rights to his own movie at Sundance for a dollar so he wouldn't have to put up with anyone else's shit to show the movie. Thus, he's taking the movie around college campuses and showing it along with a Q&A afterwards.

I just bought tickets for the only showing in Ohio, it's about 50 minutes or so away from me and just 3 weeks away. The price isn't the cheapest, but getting to go to a Kevin Smith Q&A is so worth it. Plus, it gives me a one day vacation type thing, something I've needed for a long time. Definitely excited about it, so glad my friend just randomly talked about it on Facebook or I'd have never even heard it was coming to Ohio...

I've heard many not good things about this movie. Although, I haven't enjoyed his movies for a while.

He always seems to blame everyone else for the fact his movies not being successful, but the only common factor among them is him.

Oddly, Tucker Max just tried to do the same thing Kevin Smith is doing with his movie.

His movie though, was a total POS.

Red State is a horror movie; a first for Smith and he even said it wouldn't be like anything he's done before and a lot of reviews have given him credit for, at least, getting out of his comfort zone, i.e. no dick, fart, weed, star wars jokes/references.

So far from what I've read, his latest film has been generating mixed reviews. Hard to tell yet whether this is good or bad
