Books:
The Yiddish Policemen's Union by Michael Chabon
The Long Fall by Walter Mosley
Love and Obstacles: Stories by Aleksandar Hemon
Went to the bookstore with my sister yesterday, on the off chance we did get a massive snowstorm the next few days so we'd have something to read. I had 2 issues of my X-Force run left and no books here since all my stuff's in storage. Went looking for some Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammett but they had very little, and I want to find collected works for them. Got the Chabon book after reading Kavalier and Clay, and the other 2 were in a big $4 bin. Mosley's novel is the first in a series about a retired Policemen turned PI, and Hemon's just sounded intriguing, and so far has been. I started it last night as it's the shortest of the 3 once I knew school was canceled and it's been rather good. Just about 25 pages away from finishing it now.

Amazing covers it pretty much. I already knew the album, I'm looking into their other stuff, but somehow I don't get the idea that their other albums are as good as this one. There's a new one due pretty soon, though.
Also, with Temple of the Dog I now only need Mother Love Bone and Core from the Stone Temple Pilots to have the definitive grunge collection.

As far as Queens of the Stone Age go, I have the two they did right after Songs for the Deaf. Lullabies to Paralyze was ok, though I didn't enjoy it very much. Era Vulgaris was a lot more like SftD and I found myself enjoying that one a lot more than Lullabies. But to each their own.
I still haven't tracked down a copy of Rated R though, as when I do it's always over $20, or even up to $30.

I don't know why but recently I've been obsessed with looking at trading cards on eBay. The fact that you get specific rare items in each case made me really want to buy some. I've been looking each day for the last week, exploring different options. Should I get some X-Men? Batman? X-Files? I was even tempted to start getting random packs at my retailers even though he had them for full price (luckily I couldn't bring myself to doing that).
Tonight I finally settled on getting sealed boxes of:
Lost Season 2
Veronica Mars Season 1 & 2
Each has a specialty signature card as well as what's called "pieceworks" which is a segment of clothe that the actors'/actresses' were wearing. Plus some other rare stuff, but those 2 are the main ones I'm eager for. I have specific ones from each box that I'm hoping to get, but I'm just more happy about finally settling my "craving" for a sealed box. This usually hits me every 5 years or so. Last time it was 2 boxes of Marvel Universe v2, I think I still have 1 sealed box somewhere. Had some really sweet hologram cards in it.
