Starring Willem Dafoe and Scott Speedman. Anamporh is a film about a copycat seriel killer who is hounding the character of Willem Dafoe. Dafoe is a police detective who is credited with stopping a series of murders called the "Uncle Eddy" murders years ago and is now something of a legend within the department. Now he lives a quiet life teaching a class at the Academy rather than doing active field work. Scott Speedman's character is a young police officer who just made detective and is eager to get out there and prove his worth.
I thought this would be a great film about two officers with huge differences grudgingly working together to find the killer; doing some hard edged detective work, dogging the streets. Instead I got see Dafoe quietly walk around Manhattan collect love letters from his copy cat killer while Speedman walked around looking annoyed at what I suspect was a sucky movie role.
