Completely caught up again and I have to say I'm a little impressed by the apparently very early-on plotting about Hodor.
Also, it might actually be good for the story to be a TV show at this moment. While Martin brings in a lot more nuance (not to mention Lady Stoneheart, what happened to that plot?), at least the show can ditch a lot of the crap Martin also writes (although they should've cut Reek completely).

That Hodor thing was weird...

Yes, and it also didn't go where I expected it to go (I figured his 'mind' would jump into the future, to the moment of the fight). But it seems as if that was a planned thing all along.

Last week's episode was something else, huh? I especially loved how beautiful the cinematography was for certain scenes, it was absolutely stunning!
Re: Game of Thrones (spoilers)
Absolutely. To be fair, I'd expected more spactacle (as in: Mereen was over quite quickly) and to be honest, I'd hoped to see Arya destroy that other girl in the episode before that. But the battle of the bastards was quite well done.

I thought Greyjoy and his sis got to Meeren very quickly.

If you thought that was quick I can't wait for you to see the season final.
Everyone's got their hands on a teleporter.
Hopefully you won't find that comment spoilery. I though the episode was brilliant though.

Im caught up to season 5 I believe, where John Snow shanked like a prison snitch. I burned through 3 seasons over the course of 2 weeks. I read most of the spoilers for season 6. Now I feel almost happy enough to engage in casual GoT chit chat
Re: Game of Thrones (spoilers)
Jim Broadbent has been cast for season 7. I bet he'll play an archmaester at the Citadel. I like Jim Broadbent.
