As confirmed by numerous news outlets. I'd link sources but I'm on my phone.
I think Affleck will do a better job as a super hero the second time around. I think he's grown a lot as an actor over the last 10 years, particularly the last 6 or 7 since he began directing.
Thougts?

I'm really waiting until I see it to make up my mind. I don't think he was great the last time, but I honestly just felt he was miscast as Daredevil. He didn't do horrible, it just wasn't his role. Same could be said for this once it's done. But I won't know until then. It's definitely surprising. But I'm hoping for the best.

It's interesting. Personally, I was worried that someone younger like Gosling was going to get it, so to hear it's Affleck is actually a relief.
Snyder is a reliable 6/7 out of 10 director. At best his films are alright. He's a go to action director for when you feel aiming for a big hit is beyond you, but you definitely want to avoid a flop.

Many people are citing the Daredevil film as proof that Affleck will be a horrible Batman, but if you watch the extended edition, the film is really not that bad. The extended edition fills in a lot holes that the original didnt cover and it greatly added to the quality of the film. Granted DD still had its flaws, the fight scene in the park with Elektra being one of them but overall Affleck portrayed Matt Murdoch very well - and I think he'll be able to portray Bruce Wayne very well.
Pulling off a brand new Batman look will be entirely different feat altogether.
Right now I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt
