I saw it on DVD and I thought it was pretty well done and drastically underrated. The director went for more of a character driven story than just a cheap action film in which a werewolf runs around mauling people. There were also several scenes in which Benicio Del Toro looked like a total pimp.
They kept the Wolfman's look similar to the original film years ago. Del Toro's Wolfman didn't look like the CGI werewolf from Van Helsing (which I thought was totally badass), nor did it look like a big fluffy wolves from Twilight nor did have a bargain basement feel to it.
The movie is pretty long, I think its around 2 hours but very well done in my opinion.
