Lost finale aired yesterday evening. I didn't see it because I stopped watching Lost in 2008, specifically during our first BX NYCC meet up (not that I blame you guys for making me lose interest;)).
However, recently I brought all 5 seasons of LOST and when Season 6 comes out, I plan to watch through the entire series.
Now that the series is over, what was your guys general opinion on the show, its characters, premise etc...
Perrsonally, while it got stagnant for 2-3 seasons during the middle, it helped really revolutionize television shows. It placed much greater emphaisis on characters and backstory. Unfortunately, it also helped to push forward the "string along" concept where every episode is a cliff hanger. The show also suffered from huge padding & massive decompression in season 2-3 which I felt really hurt it.
Anyone else? Thoughts? Feelings? Emotions?

The ending was, although very lovely, stupid. Nothing explained and a big fuck you to those who want to know what actually happened.
Also, no way they had a plan. Jack was supposed to die in the first episode, only made it out alive due to his chemistry with Kate. Same with Ben.
The first two seasons were by far the best, when it didn't show yet that there was no real plan. Also, Desmond is the bomb, Jin is too amazing and I hated how they offed Jin and Sun.
