In The Loop is about a government official opening his mouth on a radio show and saying something a bit stupid, which doesn't tow the line of the government's official stance on the matter of war.
The entire film centers around trying to spin the situation. Everyone involved is trying to look good, cover their backs and bullshit there way through each moment.
Clip of Malcolm Tucker at his best. Tucker is like an Ari Gold from Entourage, in this film, but the Ari Gold of the British government's spin doctors and he's scottish (which stereotypically explains why he's so rude ). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=reTHiReUNo4
I had to download it to watch it as part of my "see all main Oscar nominated movies" and was so glad I did. Wish it was available to be rented or seen in theatres, it was awesome! Made sense it was nommed for Best Original Script...
