so it turns out that my company christmas party was not the absolute cluster that i was thinking it would be. One of my direct reports and i decided to pre-game before the party so that we didnt drink the party away and look like lushes. he apparently got too much pre-game and went down hill from there.

The trouble all started when he requested a Diana Ross song and proceeded to grab the mic and do his own choreo...later his shirt came off...:e2drunk:

I absolutely had nothing to hate that night...

I envy any social gathering where inebriation leads to nudity followed by hilarity

My office decided to go the super-tacky route and host a Holiday Breakfast with our neighboring department this past monday morning between 9:00am - 10:00am and then it was back to work.

How was the food you ask? My boss dropped $50 on the way to work at Dunkin' Donuts. We had bagels, donuts, munchkins and coffee for our "party"

Since I work at a side branch, I have 2 parties I can go to: the main Holiday Party with the main office and then the one at my branch that's mandatory for me. I didn't go to the main office's party because it was at a Mexican restaurant. That just YELLS high quality party to me, lol. The year before we went to the local huge museum, which was awesome. Yet going to a restaurant? And a Mexican restaurant for the Holiday Party? Not digging it.

My branch party was just basically dinner (or lunch if you are a day shift). We had Boston Market which is known for its chicken. It was pretty nasty this time around. We got boned chicken, usually we get slices of chicken breasts which works out. The mashed potatoes were loaded and I'm not a fan of bacon (unnatural for a male, I know). So that party kinda sucked. I actually didn't get any chicken anyway because we ordered so few and I am the responsible supervisor who waits for all his employees to get their first servings before I get mine, whereas my coworker is one of the first in line to get food.

We rented a conference room at the hotel next to my school and had a live dj and cash bar along with catering. it was fun all in all. one of my employees brought his girlfriend he is 34 and she is 40something. She spent the night trying to get me to dance with her. She was a very hot latina so it was hard for me to turn her down lol.

One of my Directors met me at the bar with his friend so we could pre-game the party and not look like lushes when everyone got there. He ended up having too much to drink and taking his shirt off while roling around on the floor. there were many pictures and lots of :smilielol5:

All in all a success for my first Holiday Party

Actually I have had very little to rage about in the new year. One of my new years resolutions was to try to be happier in my daily life. I think its working ok right now but we are also only 9 days in...

Items 1, 4, 5, 6, and 7 are things I've dealt with for 25 years. And you get 4-7 all in one day while living in Indiana.

It is so wonderful.
