Seeing what Saga 1's are selling for now, I should have bought a stack of them when I got 2 for us to get signed.

That book has taken off insanely.

Well, that reminds me that after I received the signed copy from you, I gave my unsigned one back to my retailer for cover price. Damn!

Never seen it. But it's from Canal+ so it should be quality.

This morning, Malorie checked into the hospital to undergo some massive jaws surgery. The op is tomorrow, she'll have to stay there until the 13th of Feb.
Meaning I'm a single dad at the moment. And I'm telling you, being alone with your child is not easy. There is no one you can rely on to let off the steam, you have to be at 100% all the time.
Thankfully, my parents will be staying during the weekend.
It's even harder for Malorie who, on top of the surgery, will have to stay 10 days without seeing Simon (child his age aren't admitted as visitors in the hospital).
It took the whole time off work so I could visit Malorie after dropping Simon at the nanny's.
Next week can't come soon enough.

Yikes and yikes.
Is Malorie okay? Was it a planned surgery?

Things of it as father son bonding time, and if that doesn't work, I hear gravol or cough syrup works wonders for the peace and relaxation a father needs.

Count me in in the 'hope the surgery goes well' camp.

And those 10 days are of course perfect to indoctrinate Simon with all the comics he can stand.

Hope the surgery goes well for Mallorie and for you and Simon on the homefront.

Let us know how it goes.

Im sure you'll be fine on your own with Simon. Dont think of taking care of him as a
Job. Instead pretend he's Grant Morrisson or Darwyn Cooke and follow him around as if tour apartment were a Con. It will make the time
Go by quicker

Parents at the house this weekend will be a good help. Simon loves his granddad.
If Malorie does not have too much bandages and tubes on her face, we'll take Simon there on Sunday and she'll meet us in the yard of the hospital.
I don't have much news, just a quick text yesterday, telling me she was awake and super tired. I'll visit this afternoon.

Wally, I followed your advice and ended up giving Simon my copy of Absolute New Frontier to sign. He wrote "To my lousy French fan, suck it! Darwyn" inside and then tore all the pages apart. Clearly, your plan is NOT working!

So yesterday, there was a signing at a bookstore with Fabio Moon and Gabriel Ba.
They arrived, sat at their table and then Fabio Moon points his finger in my direction and says (all in French) :
"Hey, but you I know you, I remember you".
So I turned around to see who is talking about and notices there is no one behind me!
I turn back and he says
"No, no, I mean you".
"Me?"
"Yes, you. I know you. You speak a lot on the internet!".

That was totally unexpected and I still don't know if it's a bad thing or a good thing. Still a funny anecdote. I got a sketch from them that I posted in the Today I got thread.

HAH! Well, nothing wrong with that, is there? Awesome sketch, also.

That said, I personally would've gone for Casanova and Zephyr.

I let them pick the characters they prefered.
