To be honest, no clue. Probably not more than... well, 20 serious ones. Pushing up less deep is easier, of course. But the strength in my upper arms is not nearly as good as it should be for kickboxing. And I'm also not interested in lifting weights to increase that strength. I'll probably do pushups at home once or twice in the week.
Making an inventory of all my comics and rearranging them. How fun.
Also, actually my left thigh seems to be rather injured. I got a few good kicks on it last week and while it hurt, I figured it was more of the same. But it's been more than a week and it's not gotten less. Actually, slightly worse. Doctor tomorrow, probably physiotherapist after that.

Ha! That coming from a Frenchman, priceless. I actually have fights this weekend!
How is the kick boxing coming other than the leg?
If it's above the knee, you're probably fine, and it's just bad muscle soreness, pretty common for new people.
If it's the knee, you should kick whoever is kicking you in the knee in the balls.
I actually just used an excel spreadsheet for my comic list, I always found those comic book sites lacked a lot of comics.

"French is like anal, exotic but oh so unnecessary."
I'm using the Collectorz.com software. Not cheap (and their mobile app is ridicilously expensive), but it's pretty good.
The injury is above the knee. And I doubt it's bad muscle soreness. That feels different (I think, never been injured before). It's a sharp pain when making certain movements with my leg. But nothing extreme, and in daily use I don't have a real problem with it. I'll just see what the doc says about it.
Apart from that, it's pretty cool. I was just thinking about going twice a week. I do need some agility, though.

Agility, as in flexibility, balance, or both?
If you guys were doing leg kicks it really could just be a bad bruise, which is what I will hop for for you. (Which you can't always see).
Outside of a broken leg, it's really, really hard to do anything other muscle damage from leg kicks. Muscle damage will just heal on it's own pretty easily. All this is assuming you didn't somehow tear something in your knee
Mind you, that muscle damage can hurt like hell, for a while, especially if you weren't using shin guards.
Good luck at the doctor, always the smart thing to do.

Flexibility. My balance is usually pretty good.
Well, I did get a few kicks to the leg during sparring (and always with shin guards). I'm thinking it's muscle damage (as in, a rip in the muscle), something that should work out fine with some rest and possibly some therapy.
It is actually muscle damage, though. I didn't really get hit on the knee and the only thing I feel in my knee is an irritated tendon or muscle, but that seems to be because the pain (wel, not-so-nice feeling, pain's a strong word) is radiating down from my thigh. The most sensite spots are on the inside of my thigh (about 5 to 6 inches up from the knee, no clue how that spot got hurt, I don't think I've been hit there) and the backside of my thigh (about 4 to 5 inches up from the knee, that one definintely is directly from a kick).

Getting kicked on the inside of the leg is the most sensitive spot, and best place to kick someone. Chances are if you even got tapped there you'd be feeling oit
You have also, what I believe is the IT band running down the outside or your leg. It could be that.
In fact, it could have nothing to do with getting kicked kicked, and just be you hip or your knee screwing eveything up and causing the pain.
If you injure you ankle, knee, or hip even a little bit, your knees and hips take up the slack, and cause all sorts of havoc on your legs. It's unpleasant.
I have that happening right now, I'm getting acupuncture for it tomorrow.
Is your doctor a general doctor, or specialized?
I found my family doctor generally worthless when it came to sports injuries,
and always had to go see a physiotherapist or sports medicine doctor. They'd always be able to figure it out right off the bat.
The family doctor would always want x-rays and prescribe an anti-inflammatory, both of which were not needed.

If I'd have to hazard a guess from pictures, I'm guessing it's the biceps femoris and the sartorius (or the adductor longus) I'm feeling.
In Holland, it's standard procedure to go toe a family docotor first. No clue how good mine is, I've never been there. But I expect him to send me to a physiotherapist. I have to see the family doctor first, though. Otherwise the insurance company might get shitty about the costs of the physiotherapy.

Spot on, probably. According to the doctor there's no muscle damage. To be honest, I didn't really expect that anyway. I figured there'd be more pain involved. On of the bruises on my thigh dropped to the back of my knee, so it's pretty explainable.wolf_2099 wrote:If you guys were doing leg kicks it really could just be a bad bruise, which is what I will hop for for you. On a different note, what's up with your leg, than? Acupuncture?
