First news I heard this morning when I woke up.
My first thought was "Well, MGM's London concert just got canceled for good". :x

Same here. Woke up this morning and got my first related Jackson joke via text, from my boss.

*cough* Wrong forum.
And yeah, too bad about the concert, I was looking forward to it. But the weekend London still stands.
And to let there be no mistake: he was, and still is the King of Pop.

yea, i was surprised, but then didn't care after I heard it. I was more upset about Farrah Fawcett passing away.

i used to steal my parent's copies of thriller and off the wall on VINYL and play it full blast when they werent home.
yea he was a crazy ass dude but if u lived in the states and grew up in the 80s michael jackson was the shit! whether or not he really grabbed that lil boys balls he still singlehandedly changed the music industry.
if u check my myspace page i remixed and sampled one of the tracks off of thriller into a new song its called "jackson jam" at

I mourn the loss of pre-90's MJ. Post-90's? Eh, not so much. Sorry, but when Bernie Mac died I was more bummed because the dude was still funny and entertaining. He still had plenty to offer. MJ hasn't really done anything I liked in 2 decades, so it's really not a difference to me.
