Moving is a hassle

Well it is. frig!
Nothing like a change of location to make you realise how much
stuff you have in your possession.
Good time to offload a lot of stuff too. Anybody want a bag full of clothes and shoes?

Only slightly used.
I've changed addresses about 5 times now. How about everybody else, how many times have you moved in your life?
<--is curious, and also avoiding putting her DVDS and books in suitcases

I moved last August for the... 3rd time in about as many years, though this last time I didn't move everything since I was going to a shared apartment for school. And I totally agree with how it makes you realize how much crap you accumulate over time.
Worse was moving comics... THAT was a bitch and half so I definitely didn't do it the last time especialy since I was moving over 2 hours away.

Good idea, and yes they are the worst. I left most of my comics and books behind when I moved here because this place is too small for all of them and their are just too many of them.
I needs bookshelves.

Sorry, it's just a couple T-shirts in there. No underwear.
Maybe next time.

That's sad... for everyone else, cause you already planned on sending the underwear to me, right?

Six times, now landin' me on the East side of big old Toronto.
Last time I just moved across the city and it was a pain and a half!
Kitchen stuff, bathroom stuff, clothes, book upon books upon books, TV...hey wait...there's no couch? What do you mean you busted my toaster?
Hey! You said you'd bring me a microwave and I could leave the crappy one behind! Did I leave the cleaning supplies in the old apartment? A ticket? We didn't park! We were moving stuff! There is TOO a difference!
Sorry...flashbacks...Moving sucks! >_<

We've been in the process of packing up the house for about a month. There are oods and ends to bring, but it's the reading materials that are a bitch to lug around. We have about 18 boxes of books, four short boxes of graphic novels and about 16 short boxes of comic books. Hell yeah, moving sucks!
Since we have to hit the Canadian/American border we're being realistic and getting rid of most of our stuff. We're not bringing the chairs, couches, tables, appliances, bed, etc so there's less for the border to root through. Replacing our old junk's going to take time and $$$, but it's a fresh start and that's a good thing, right?

Not sure how long I'll be staying in Dongbinggo either. Hopefully awhile, but no more than another year and a bit (when roomie's contract is up).

Since I've been on my own, I have moved six times in twelve years. That's including when I moved to Ohio for half a year and came crawling back. I never had much stuff until I got married. It was pretty much just my clothes, computer, comics and bed. Now I have furniture, dishes, linens, china cabinets and various little decorative trinkets.

I've moved about 5 or 6 times since 1996. All of those times I took almost my stuff with me which consisted entirely of clothes, a bed, television and books. Fortunately, back then I didn't have a lot of books, maybe 1 or 2 boxes. Now that my collection of books has greatly increased I don't want to lug them around nearly as much.
