Y'know, since I didn't want to bitch about it in the text message to Arn congratulating on his newborn, I'll do it here: why don't you foreigners have Whatsapp, Telegram or Viber (or possibly even Skype on your phones)?
Not that I have the intense urge to spam or be spammed with messages, but it'd be nice to not have to pay for doing so.
And Frenchie, you'd better get one of those apps, because the WC is coming up and we'll need to talk about that.

I have Skype on my phone. When I asked a few years ago what everyone internationally used, it seemed split over 2 or 3 apps, so I didn't know what to end up downloading and never did.

Thanks for the text, that was very kind. I promise I'll look into whatsapp if it means I can make fun of the oranges for free!

I thought you had an iPhone like I did?

I do but it's an iPhone 3 and its dying. I'm holding it together with duct tape and sheer force of will until I can get a new one.
Because mine is an iPhone 3, Skype doesn't work on it

I've never tried any of those apps, only heard of a few of them actually. The only people I actually text are family and a friend who I chat with about tv shows/movies, yet usually we do that on Twitter.
