Awesome stuff for everyone!

I got fireworks we set off last night.
A bose sound system for my TV.
A digital picture frame for all my comic con pics.
A british news print spider-man reprint from the 70's.
A Canada Mint Super Man coin.
And other odds and ends.

It was a busy Christmas. I have a small family (only 2 generation alive, and all the relatives are in Ontario so we don't see them). Krista however has 4 generations alive in her family, and a huge extend family all around Calgary so it was a big to-do.

Sounds awesome!

I've been meaning to ask you about those Superman coins for a little while but never think to do so when I'm on here. I wanted to ask if they were somewhat easy to come by, but I'm assuming that since you got one for Christmas that probably isn't the case.

Glad everyone had a wonderful few holidays!

Sold out in under an hour online.
Dissapeared within the day at every Canada Post store.

They were popular.
They can be found on eBay for about a 50% mark up.

They are pretty awesome though.

They do look awesome! A friend of mine is a huge Superman fan and thought about tracking one down but had read similar things. Weren't there multiple designs too?

About 8.
Ranging from $20 to almost $2000 depend on the silver or gold content.

Yeah that's a huge range in price haha. Which coin did you get, if you don't mind me asking?

Both are very cool. The Kryptonian writing on the edges is just awesome!

They are actually legal tender, yes.

Although the cost far more than what they are worth,

The coins now are worth more but at the time of their release, were the various Canadian post stores allowed to sell them at a mark up or were they sold at face value?

Sold at the price set by the Canadian mint. Which was more than face value.
