It's a new messenger program for smart phones, seems kind of neat.

It's supposed to be like a cross platform blackberry messenger.

WhatsApp lets you text message with other users. It's based on wifi or 3G, so international conversations are no problem. Ad far as I know, Blackberry users can ping with the app as well, basically making it possible for any smartphone user to ping to a BB.

Poor parenting and a shitty childhood?

During my childhood, if you wanted to text someone, it required a pen, paper, an enveloppe and a stamp. That was as "instant" as it got.
I shall search the Android Market for those kik and WhatsApp thing.
Then shower you with silly text messages.
