Been Awhile just an update

Post by Sandman »

Hey guys Iknow it has been awhile since I have posted here atleast about me so here is an udate with what is going on with me. I have a pinched nerve in my lower back. I am on Viccodin muscle relaxers and some other stuff. Iwas in so much pain before I could bearly walk. now it is not so bad still hurts but it is manegable. I had to get an MRI, it turns out I have 2 herniated disks and I am still waiting for the refural to go see a specialist about it.

On a hapier and better note Last Saturday I went to the International Beer Expo! there were about 60 different breweries there that I got to try some of thier beer! the best thing was that each brewery had atleast 2-5 different brews there! needless to say by the 5th company I was feeling pretty good and when I was half way done I did not even feel anything in my back and I was walking like normal! that was a good time and I hope to go there again next year

Ow. Any idea how bad the herniated disks are? Or how they happened?

Any really good beers you tried? (That someone might actually be able to find).

Really sorry to hear about your back, and I hope you can get things taken care of before they get any worse. I know those injuries can really prevent you from doing just about anything so hope you can get through the time being until things get taken care of.

Sounds nasty Mike. Glad you enjoyed the beer festival though.

What did they recommend once you got the MRI result?

Sorry about your back. Please refrain from any heavy lifting or strenuous back activity and continue to take care of yourself. Did the doctor find out what the cause was?

Damn, sorry to hear about your back condition. I know it hurts like hell. I hope they'll be able to treat it properly and quickly so you can recover.
In the meantime, just ask for IV with beer in it!

well I am being reffered to a non intrusive back specialist and it looks like I will not be able to get in there until March sometime. I have no idea what caused it nothing sticks out in my head as to how. I can only think it was something in the freezer at work. it can get tight in there sometimes and I have to lift some heavy boxes in weird angles to get to them.

will post the name of the brewery later I have a card of thiers somewhere but it was an american brewery and they had a brown ale that was amazing, then they had the same brown ale mixed with Jack Daniels and that was unbealievable!

Very sorry to hear about your back Mike and I hope you will get some definitive answers in March.
On a morbidly positive note, you and Dr. Gregory House have something in common: Vicodin. :)

Update on my update: well It turns out that for the last 2 years I have not had any health insurance! so I am on the hook for $1350 for the MRI I had. (though since I am a self pay I got a reduction on the Price. maybe up to 20%) I also dodged a bullit with the Phyisical Therapy. ever since day 1 I told them I would have problems paying for it. After the insurance was rejected they brought me in to figure out a solution. the first day i went there cost me $295! and probably $199 each time after that. 2 times a week for 8 weeks! but they cut me a deal where I just have to pay $10 a visit!

Weird, how come no health insurance?

That was good of them to cut a deal, too.
You silly Americans and your health care system.

well it was a fucked up situation. My health insurance was supposed to be taken out of my credit card each month, but it wasn't. I never check my statments excet to see that the amount never seems to go down so I just thought it was. big fuck up on my part. but the plus side it in Sept I will be covered by my works insurance and the money I am paying would have been well under what I would have payed in premiums for the last 2 years.
