Well since everyone's throwing out suggestions, I suggest something to convey royalty. Prestige. Power. Historical significance.

And since almost no names from French history do that without incurring jokes and awkward looks, I suggest a name after an English king.

Like Edward.

First name "The".

Only potential drawback would be the Twihards will think they named him after that Edward.

But, the otakus will think they named him after Edward Elric, which is good! :)
