He's been around, I've seen his IP as a guest at night. He'll come back sooner or later. He's like our Watcher (from Marvel comics, not the Buffy-verse). He sees and records everything we do. Cookie performs a vital function to our dysfunction. Hell, he's probably got the old BX board stashed away somewhere. ^_^
