Yes. As good as the reviews rave it is.

It's pretty good. Picked up 1-4 yesterday.
Detective based, quirky, funny.

Just steal one off of a fan at the next Comic con.
I've got second and or third printing for 1 and 2.

I couldn't find one at the one in Montreal, I wonder what the print run was on it.

I'll put it down on my "Has Potential" list

I was underwhelmed after hearing all the hype, but I have only read issue 1 so far.

A year later... I picked up the first two trades and rather enjoyed them. ^_^

At the store my manager opened up this weekend, I noticed he had a copy of issue one rather highly priced. I didn't look at it outside of a glance, but I don't know if it was signed, an exclusive copy, or what, but it was at, I believe, $60. Then he has like, issues 3, 4, and 6. So I didn't get it but was surprised to see it that high. I've heard amazing things though.

Actually, $60 for Chew #1 is a pretty good deal. eBay has 2 issue #1s sold at $80 just 2 weeks ago.

60 is good for a first printing. I've actually been trying to find one around that price

Gotcha. It's been awhile since I've seen a newer series sell for that much so I wasn't sure if it was just the issue or a special exclusive copy from a con or something.

I'm really enjoying it.
Malorie loved it too.

Very few new series are selling like that. In the past decade, the main ones that come to mind are: Invincible, Walking Dead, Chew, and Morning Glories. Skull-Kickers came out last week and has the potential but it's not showing what Morning Glories showed last month when it debuted. Ironically enough, all those series are from Image (or at least I think so). I guess Image generally undersells their titles and prints a low first run which means once it hits big, the first issues shoot up like crazy.

I try to keep a back-up list in the back of my head of what the folks around here recommend buying. Still intend to pick up The Boys. ^_^
Not sure how far along Chew is by now but I'll be picking up its trades whenever I see them. It's refreshing to have a light-hearted comic with such a fast pace and unapologetically f-ed up werido characters.

It's at 13.
You should pick up the Boys just because of Darrick Robertson, he was an awesome guy.
Although, so was Garth Ennis.

The comic's trite, though. I dropped it well over a year ago.
