I wasn't a big fan of it either. Entertaining parts to it, but it's an odd book that expects me to have read all of Jack of Fables.

That was pretty much my initial problem. Aside from the possum or Raccoon in Fables floating the idea of the possibility of someone who can rewrite the world to Frau Totenkinder, you don't know whats going on. The bulk of the story that explains the backstory of the Literals happened in Jack of Fables and if you haven't been keeping up with JoF, you feel like you're coming in, in the middle of the story. Oh and I also have no fucking clue why Jack's son, Jack Frost is looking for him, how he got into the Mundy world and what happened to his mother.
The second big problem is the sheer amount of filler bullshit Willy and co. are throwing in there. In the past 4 parts, nothing of substance has really happened. The first issue of the crossover was the biggest offender. 2-4 pages of the Fables ordering food
I'll wait until the entire story is done before I decide how good or bad it was.
Here's hoping Willy picks it up. And soon.

It's Willy dude. Expect it to surprisingly entertain us here and there, but overall serve up a big plate of FAIL.

Flash forward 5 and a half years. Issue 150 of Fables comes out.

The only thing that bothered me in the story is that everyone was acting silly. But I still tremendously enjoy this book.

His storyarcs that are supposed to take 6 issues, never really take off or finish, then get tied up 20 minutes later.
I still love the Blue Bull though.
